Where do I start?
You can call to ask questions and make an appointment at (410) 315-8015.
You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org, or go to the contact page and send a message there.
Who responds to my calls or email?
I answer all calls and emails personally, usually within 24 hours.
What are your hours?
I have morning, day, and evening hours available weekdays Monday-Friday.
How does teletherapy work?
Telehealth services can be used with a smart phone or tablet/computer with a webcam and require a good internet connection. I use SecureVideo for these services, a HIPAA compliant, encrypted video conferencing system, and will instruct you how to use these services once we decide to meet for a consultation session.
What is the cost?
The fee for teletherapy sessions is similar to the fee for in office sessions. The initial consultation session is $200. Subsequent individual sessions are billed at $170.
Appointments are approximately 60 minutes, including time for scheduling and payment.
Do you participate with insurance and does it cover teletherapy services?
I participate with Medicare and Carefirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO. Medicare is currently covering telehealth visits as are most Carefirst policies. The coverage for telehealth may change, so it is important to keep current with your particular insurance policy.
Many other insurances do provide out of network coverage that may pay for part of the charge of psychotherapy services. I also do offer a sliding scale fee when there is no insurance coverage.
What happens in the first session?
During the first session or two, we talk about what brings you to treatment at this time, what concerns you have, and what you would like to accomplish. We will also discuss if I am the right person to help you meet those goals, and if not, I will provide you with referrals.
